Commissionning of New Facilities

Prior to integrating new equipment or new facilities, the Projects and Works teams carry out physical verification tests so that readily serviceable and reliable tools are made available to the production teams. These tests and the manufacturers’ data are recorded and filed so as to keep track of the equipment through its life.

We sometimes have to deal with projects out of the ordinary which require the deployment of specific resources. We have to figure out the different phases involved in such operations so that we may seek out the necessary resources for performing the work appropriately, like, as an example, having to arrange for the shipment of 2 cranes to 100 kilometers away from our base across a sandy roadway, in an area sparsely populated, in order to lay a 40 ton-slug catcher positioning it fittingly on its supports.

It might be, for instance, a welding work on pressured pipings, operations requiring divers, complex modeling calculations. We always keep control of such operations through permanent interaction with our contractors, and through a basic knowledge of their business activity so that we are able to understand and guide them on our facilities.
